Winter Special- The cold weather is here - Book a replacement thru wall heating system in December or January and receive 10% off entire purchase, including materials and labor. This upgrade will pay for itself in utility savings as the new GE Zoneline units are much more efficient than the old unit you currently have. If you are trying to sell your unit, a new heating system is a great asset and marketing tool. Increase your value, lower your utility cost, and be a little green. Newfield Drive Project
Newfield Drive, which borders the east side of Natick Village, is a private road owned jointly by Natick Village, Kendall Crossing, Deerfield Forest and Natick Green. For several years, the Natick Village Board of Trustees has been working with representatives from the other three properties in an effort to have the Town of Natick accept Newfield Drive as a town road. Town acceptance would end Natick Village's maintenance costs for the road and the underlying utilities, and would transfer liability to the Town. However, before the Town will consider accepting the road it must be brought up to town standards. The four properties hired Metrowest Engineering to evaluate the road and write specifications for reconstruction. The job will go out to bid this winter and we expect construction to begin in the Spring of 2008. Engineers' estimates for the cost of bringing the road to town standards is $1.5 million. Natick Village owns approximately 33% of Newfield Drive, therefore its share will be approximately $500,000. The cost will be funded by a loan and the loan will be repaid through condominium fees.
As most Natick Village residents do not use Newfield Drive, construction will not have a great impact on residents here. However, construction will require the use of some space for storage of materials and equipment. Natick Village has agreed that the construction company will be able to use the grassy area behind 2, 4 and 6 Village Way for storage. Every effort will be made to keep disruption to residents at a minimum.
